Only stayed the one night - just passing through.
Thought that it was expensive compared to same type of accommodation in the North Island.

Loved our time here, it was perfect for what we needed. The hotel was wonderful, had nice views and magnificent location just next door to an amazing Irish pub which was clean and comfortable and catered for kids with kids' menus and lots of seats & tables outside, the 4 square for milk and North ce beach. All the staff were superbly friendly and really friendly...

Well, that was a surprise!
What a good experience! The reception was cute, quickly becoming familiar with us. Our spacious one-bedroom unit was just a short stroll from the beach. Complemented by a handy map of local attractions, we felt right at home. Clean, cozy, and conveniently located-this stay was pretty good!

Proximity to bay and town. Not overlooking the water but quite close. Room was clean tidy and well appointed. Quite outdated small TV and remote did not work.
went to the resort next door first as we saw the driveway but missed the office. Was closed at 7pm despite the website saying it would be open to 7.30pm. Once we were redirected, rang the phone and the key had been left in the room, and the manager brought the wifi codes to the room for me later. Should say the however that staff in the Office were very helpful with travel information and routes, maps etc on checkout.

close access to The Lost Spring, great location, well-equipped kitchen
The rooms can feel stuffy without adequate air conditioning!!! A fan just doesn't cut it in warm weather!!! The noise from above can be quite disruptive, especially with heavy footsteps!!! Improving sound insulation would help everyone have a better experience!!!

This place was just, okay. I was shocked the sofa was old and peeling, and the sandy floor in my room was like a beach disaster. I expected at least an upgrade for my troubles. Couldn't even sleep with that noisy fan trying to suffocate me. Almost thought about a positive review, but just couldn't.

Good location and near to shops and beach
no Air con and room very hot and humid on arrival. had to leave windows open for long time to air. not facing beach and sea as had been expected. no lift so heavy luggage up metal stairs difficult.

The location was perfect, just a quick walk to the beach. We appreciated the clean and tidy kitchen facilities. The pool looked inviting, but we didn't have a chance to use it. Solid experience 😊
